Thematic Sketches

Once a week I will ask for a theme. It can be general or specific, and from that I will do a sketch a day. If the theme is really good, I may do more than one per day!

Cabbage Patch Kids, markers on paper, 6”x6”, $40 Theme:  Childhood Toys by William Goodman Cabbage Patch Dolls were my favorite. My parents were divorced, so every Christmas and birthday I hit jackpot and received two “Cabbages”. So after several years of collecting them, I know I had over 25. There was also the Easter bunny CPK, so I think that made it the odd number of 25.  My first doll was Amy and I had her so many years, I decided it was time for Amy to get braces. My mother worked for an orthodontist and he custom made braces for her.
