I loved my Speak & Spell and Speak & Math. I would always get angry at the Speak & Spell because it was difficult to determine if the computerized voice was saying “swap” or “swamp”. The problem was that both words were in there and sounded the same.
When I “played pretend”, the Speak & Spell was always my laptop. I thought it was even cooler after seeing Elliot use it in E.T.
